About Grenada
The state of Grenada is located between the Caribbean sea and consists of three islands: Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique. Grenada has a population of around 110.000 and consists of 344 sq. kilometres.
The exotic, friendly and modern island which is also popularly known as “The Spice Island”, due to the myriad of locally grown spices, has become a preferred destination for many high net worth investors to visit and live.
Grenada offers a lifestyle so pure and authentic that you feel instantly renewed. This English-speaking nation has some of the friendliest people in the Caribbean, so, even if you happen to get lost, you will surely encounter other aspects of Grenada's vibrant culture and hospitality.
Grenada's Citizenship by Investment Program
The independent island of Grenada re-launched its Citizenship by Investment programme in August 2013 when the Grenadian Parliament passed the Citizenship by Investment Act No. 15 of 2013. Presently, there are two options available for an applicant to apply for Citizenship by Investment: by donation to the National Transformation Fund (NTF) or by acquisition of government-approved real estate. The donation option in Grenada is a two-step process which takes more than 12 months.
The stated objective of the Grenada's citizenship by investment programme is to enable persons to acquire permanent residency and citizenship of Grenada by registration following investment in Grenada.
Grenada's programme is considered to be the most 'family-friendly' out of all the other Caribbean citizenship by investment programmes as it does not charge exorbitant processing and due diligence fees for spouses and family members, and also allows the possibility for a newborn child to obtain citizenship for a very low cost.
